Ten armed police officers and a helicopter come to capture a tiger
that was actually a statue of an old woman

Last Saturday morning, the police arrived in the jungle of the town of Underriver, in the English county of Kent, armed and accompanied by helicopters for various notices of a "big wild cat". However, when they got there they did not have to capture or shoot him, just talk to his creator, an 85-year-old woman, since it was not a real animal.

Juliet Simpson was the woman who had created this life-size tiger sculpture with wire mesh and resin and she was so realistic that even the neighbors were scared and alerted the authorities.

According to the old woman told The Guardian, her son Duncan warned her that she had seen ten armed officers going to her house and a helicopter. Juliet said she saw them coming from the field in front, explained that everything was a false alarm and said: "Would you like me to introduce you to my real tiger?"

So he took them to his sculpture and they laughed, took pictures and were with him for about 20 minutes, according to the British newspaper BBC.

In fact, this fake tiger has been in that forest for about 20 years, although it is now "quite deteriorated". "It must look real and it is about 30 meters from the path, so it cannot be seen very closely," explained its creator.

One of the officers speculated that, despite having been there for so long, perhaps a neighbor called the police because of the greatest concern with these wild cats after watching the Netflix documentary Tiger King.

"Many people have little knowledge of how animals behave in the field. Any type of cat that has escaped would be in a state of terror and would not be basking in the sun by looking kindly at the nearest path," added Juliet Simpson. Therefore, it can be said that the town of Underriver does not have any wild tiger, and this was confirmed by the armed authorities and the helicopters that combed the area.
