Disney has been remaking many of its hand-drawn animated classics into films that mix live action with innovative CGI.
"The Jungle Book" and "The Lion King" used virtual production to create photorealistic visions of talking and singing animals.
In "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil," Angelina Jolie was made to look like she was flying through the air while the cast of "Mulan" was strapped into wires for many gravity-defying stunts, and Will Smith danced around in a motion-capture suit as the Genie in "Aladdin."
